  Manual, and that is deliberate.

This is a static file rather than a generated route so that it is a file on
disk that can be read, diffed and edited without a build step. The cost of that
choice is `lastmod`, which nothing keeps up to date automatically.

  WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS HERE:

Google documents `changefreq` and `priority` as fields it ignores. It has never
used either. They are kept below only because sitemaps are also consumed by
other tools, some of which do read them. Do not expect changing them to change
  how often Google visits.

`lastmod` is the one field that is honoured, and it is how Google decides a URL
  is worth re-fetching. So:

*** BUMP `lastmod` ON BOTH ENTRIES WHEN YOU EDIT EITHER PAGE. ***

Setting it far in the future, or updating it without a real change, trains the
crawler to ignore the field - at which point the site loses the one signal in
  this file that does anything.

`/chat` is deliberately absent. It is `noindex, follow`, and listing a page you
have told the engine not to index is a contradiction that gets the whole file
  distrusted.
